Monday, November 4, 2013. I have to say, the extra hour yesterday came in handy around my house. The Texan worked on getting one of our guest rooms in order for company in a few weeks by finally replacing the gross old ceiling fan with a simple ceiling fixture. Flush mounts are not my favorite. But due to the way the electrical was completed and the giant hole that is in the ceiling, a flush mount was the only option. I think it looks much better and the light it gives off is great. Well friends, I am ducking out early this year. I want to kick off the holiday season by spending as much time with my family and friends as possible. Our friend Ryan, his family owns a lake house on Long Lake. Long Lake is about two and a half hours northeast of Minneapolis. Matt has been up several times with their guy friends during the summer, but this was a first for both of us in the winter. My cold weather selfie! .

Saturday, January 12, 2013. The entire month of December disappeared in the blink of an eye. Between work, church, family and preschool parties, there was always something to do! We were in Texas over Christmas, and had so much fun with cousins and Nini and Papa. We were completely spoiled with good food, good fun, and good company. They had to bring it back out and cut it down by several feet! .
